We design our cradles for all shapes and sizes of boat
and can accommodate yachts up to 120ft. long with weight limits of up to
125,000lbs.
For load on - load off or Flat Rack shipment (typically used for
over sized boats) a cradle is built to support the vessel. A flat rack
and strap is used to secure your boat to the vessel. For boats without a trailer, the shipping lines will require your boat to have a cradle when received at the port.
It is highly recommended when transporting your wooden boats overland, that is be transported on its own
custom cradle. This is suggested because there may be inherent
structural weaknesses that are not readily visible or detectable. A
well designed cradle will spread the weight of the boat over a much
wider contact area. Wooden boats can be expected to dry out.
